Museum Of Comedy Opens In London


A brand new museum devoted to comedy has opened in London. The Museum of Comedy can be found at The Undercroft, St. George’s Church, Bloomsbury Way, London WC1A 2SR and houses one of the most comprehensive collections of comedy memorabilia ever to be amassed in one place.

The British Music Hall Society was delighted to be involved in the opening exhibition by loaning the Museum Max Miller’s costume together with showcards, sheet music and photos featuring the Cheeky Chappie.
Sit on a pew from Father Ted, find your favourite in Steve Ullathorne’s exhibition of Comedians, reminisce with the phone from Fawlty Towers and original Tommy Cooper props!
Something for the kids with classic comedy board games, and they can even colour in the bear from Steptoe and Son while you listen to your choice from every comedy single ever recorded.Why not take in a show, with all events in the opening season of Edinburgh Previews in the Museum’s custom built performance space The Cooper Room just £10!
