Tom Davies Trio Book

Tom Davies Trio

Kathy Oldham has written a book called Tom Davies Trio Motoring In Mid-Air: The Story Of A British Variety And Vaudeville Act, which is about ‘the most sensational act in vaudeville’. Beginning at the end of the nineteenth century with Tom Davies’ bicycle racing career, it follows three men from Manchester, England as they took their variety act ‘Motoring In Mid-Air’ (riding motorcycles on stage on raised track) to theatres all around the globe for more than thirty years. In depth research, and information provided by Tom Davies’ son, forms the basis of the motorcycling troupe’s history. Amazon is selling the book at £9.15 and the ISBN is 978 15061 18987. The publisher is CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform.
