Singer Tino Valdi celebrated his 88th birthday with a celebration of his life and career at the Ukranian Cathedral in London on Sunday 25th June. The BMHS President Roy Hudd was a special guest and spoke at the celebrations before presenting Tino with the BMHS Lifetime Achievement Award and a framed poster of a variety bill at Finsbury Park Empire starring Max Miller. Also on that bill were Tino and a very young Roy Hudd, then in a double act, Hudd and Kay.

Also in the photographs is Eugene Nykolyszyn who gave a presentation on Tino’s life and career and who has also written an article on Tino, which appeared in The Call Boy (Spring 2016).
