In a unique one-man performance Ewan Wardrop plays the role of Formby, as well as all the key characters involved in this fascinating slice of his life.

This sensational production features many of Formby’s classic hits brilliantly performed live by Wardrop on the ukulele, including Blackpool RockLeaning on a Lamp-postWhen I’m Cleaning WindowsTT Races and many more.

Formby is at the Arts Depot, 5, Nether Street, Tally Ho Corner, North Finchley, London, N12 0GA on Thursday 19th October at 2pm and 7.30pm.

Alma Cogan Plaque Unveiled in Worthing

Alma 2 - SSAlma 1 - SSalmaalma

On Friday 22nd September 2017, a plaque to the late, but very much lamented, British popular singer Alma Cogan was unveiled at 29, Lansdowne Road, Worthing by her close friend Lionel Blair. Alma lived in Worthing in the late 1940s and the plaque was paid for by long-time fans of the singer, who belong to the Alma Cogan International Fan Club, working in conjunction with The Worthing Society.

Over 100 turned up for the ceremony and ITV meridian filmed it for their news programme that evening.

More photos from the ceremony can be found on the BMHS website under ‘Associated Events’
